Coming from a small village called Cakru, Kencong sub-district, Jember Regency, Frangky had always been a fan of art, he knew he wanted to become an art teacher. His first pursue was to study fine art education at Malang State University, and took a master of education program in art at Yogyakarta State University. When I was in college, I learned various Indonesian arts and other artistic medium which made me even more passionate about the world of arts, especially crafts and fashion.
Initially, Frangky didn’t have the confidence to present his work to the public, after joining the competitions turned out successful for him, there he gained confidence to upload more of his design works through fashion and craft business. Self-doubt slowly faded, and higher self-esteem to promote his work.
In the field of Batik and handicrafts, Frangky was also the winner of a batik design competition in Malang, Batik Kota Wisata Batu and also Jember batik designs, as well as being a finalist in a jewelry design competition at Jakarta Fashion week in 2018. This sparks his start to open a small business in the field of fashion that explores archipelago literature into an exclusive form of clothing.
His hope is to create a design that has a main style in the form of decorative stylized forms like the motifs in batik, so that batik will become more well-known but packaged into a more attractive form.
