Her interest in art has begun when she was just 3 years old. Starting out with crayon doodling on the wall of her house, she felt the joy on expressing herself through art. That spark was the beginning of her to hone her self-taught skills in art. Angela Vera Herman Efendi, or often called Lala is a medical student in one of Palembang city national university. People often times questioned her to the course she’s currently taking, as it is not relevant with her interest. However, she believes in the principle of ikigai in life, her profession as a doctor will not hinder her interest in art.

Art is one of her languages of happiness. During the pandemic, she spent quite a lot of time at home, took on challenges by joining various design competition at the national level, ranging from poster design, infographic design to product design, and she won it all. From joining those competitions, she get to know Kefi’s competition, where she connects her design in wearable art. Additionally, she is also entrusted to be a mentor in the field of graphic design at a company in Indonesia.

In this current opportunity, she’s collaborating with Kefi creating a Studio Ghibli’s wearable art made by Indonesia’s artist, that will be exhibit during the Trust Orchestra’s performances booth in Ciputra Artpreneur on Saturday, 13th May until Sunday, 14th May.
